The Invisible View
Northern Calgary, AB
The Invisible View, along Evansview Rd, invites you to slow down and take in Calgary’s northwest. Its three decks frame views from the neighbourhood to the Rockies, offering peaceful moments for sunrise, sunset, and stargazing. The diagrid structure blends into the landscape by day and glows softly at night, guiding you to reconnect with the sky and surrounding scenery. This project was done in collaboration with Shirley Wei.
Site
Overlooking the northern Calgary skyline atop a hillside neighbourhood, this site becomes easily overlooked as people’s focus turns to their homes. These platforms create a break in that routine, allowing attention to be paused as one admires the Rockies to the west, with the topography accentuating the experience of discovering a new view.
